It's great to be working at THS, and being a Titan. I am dedicated to creating a productive learning environment in which original and creative thinking are emphasized. History is an important concept that tomorrow's leaders need to understand. One must be able to base current decisions on the successes and failures of those who preceded them. History is not a static subject. It changes daily as events occur, ideas change, and discoveries are made. I hope that when my students see or hear a news report they are able to understand that place's history and cultural background. It is my aim that once my students leave the classroom they will be able to interpret and relate historical and current events in the world with the knowledge and skills that they gained from my class.
Coaching is a vital part of my teaching philosophy. Sports help student athletes build character, prioritize their time, and respect authority. Sports educate young people to understand and respect their own personal abilities and talents as well as their limitations. Sports teach them much about life, and train them how to work in a team environment. As a football coach at THS I hope to instill these skills in the student athletes I coach.
