Dale Peters

Administrator: Assistant Principal

Courses: During the years I was a teacher I had experience teaching all levels of biology, environmental science, science research, botany, zoology, ecology and ICP. As an adjunct instructor at FCC I taught Biology 101 and 102, Meteorology, and Human Anatomy & Physiology.

Sports: As a teacher I coached the following sports: cross country, 9 th grade and JV boys basketball, girls varsity basketball, and crew.

Teaching Experience: My teaching experience started in Vermont , where I am from. I then taught in Connecticut for three years before moving to Frederick county. In this county I taught at Linganore High for 13 years and then helped open Urbana High, where I taught for 7 years and then served as an assistant principal for five years.

I enjoy the out-of-doors, especially hiking, camping, canoeing, white-water rafting, rock climbing and hang-gliding. I also enjoy photography and landscape painting as well as travel. One of my best traveling adventures was going to Thailand for about three weeks.

The following two quotes suggest a bit about my philosophy…

“People may doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do”. “The world is full of willing people; some willing to work, the rest willing to let them”.
