The guidance philosophy that will be promoted at Tuscarora will be to work closely with all students to help them recognize and appreciate their talents. The four years we spend together will be used to develop an academic program that not only enhances the abilities of the student, but also allows them to explore a variety of academic opportunities. I have had the opportunity to be a parent of two children who have benefited from Frederick County Public Schools. My son, Ray, is a computer engineer. He graduated from the Air Force Academy. My daughter, Samantha, is a PHD student in Hispanic studies at the University of Kentucky. She graduated from Susquehanna University. My husband, Steve, teaches physics at Urbana High School. During my 28 years in Frederick county, I have taught math at West Frederick Middle School, and been a guidance counselor at Brunswick High, Middletown Middle, West Frederick Middle and Ballenger Creek Middle. I anxiously
look forward to meeting each of you at Tuscarora. |
