Teaching Exp: Began teaching career in Frederick County in 1986; came to THS in 2003.

B.A. in History with an American Literature minor from the University of Maryland, College Park
BA in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park
MS in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Maryland College (also known as McDaniel College)

Recent world events have emphasized the necessity for students to understand the historical, political, social and economic issues facing our nation today. I hope to encourage student inquiry, spark their curiosity, and open their minds to the variety of resources available in the study of history and social studies. I have taught all of the required courses in the FCPS curriculum as well as many electives over the past years including A.P. American History, and A.P. American Government. I am excited about the opportunity of opening THS and working with the THS community!
