I moved from middle school to high school so I could teach at a higher level and spend time with more mature students. My educational philosophy is based on the theory that going to school can be fun and enjoyable yet educational. I will expect my students to be ready to learn when they walk in the door. Today's fast paced and technologically complex world requires students to leave high school with much more advanced skills than my generation. I look forward to the challenge of being part of the preparation process. In my first life, I spent 25 years in the U. S. Navy, retiring from active duty in July of 1995. Being a career sailor taught me to be professional, organized, punctual, and flexible. I expect these same traits in my students. We will have time to get to know each other and still have a good time. I look forward to meeting you all. |
