Hello, I
am Marty Rosenberry. I have taught eight years at Heather Ridge, teaching
mostly Introduction to Chemistry and Physics, Biology and all
three levels of the middle school curriculum. I currently am teaching
ICP-H and Biology.
I Graduated from Chambersburg High School, PA in 1992. I received
my Bachelors degree in Earth and Space Science from Shippensburg
University
in the spring of 1997 and joined Heather Ridge's staff in the fall
of 1997. I was granted a transfer to join the Tuscarora science
department
in the summer of 2005. I am surrounded by one the most helpful and
generous groups of science teachers in the county. The reason
I requested a transfer
to Tuscarora, Tuscarora was a golden opportunity for me to learn and
grow as a teacher and as a person.
I played baseball at the University of Shippensburg I was used mainly
as a pitcher in college. After my junior year the Kansas City Royals
in the 1994 amateur draft
drafted me as a pitcher in the 43rd round. However, I did not sign a professional
contract and thanks to the wisdom of my parents, I continued with my education
and became a science teacher. In 1998 I joined Coach Roger Dawson's staff
as the pitching coach at Brunswick High School. For five years
I helped coach
Dawson and the Railroaders to 2 MVAL crowns and a Regional Championship.
In 2004, I
was a proud member of the Brunswick Orioles semi-pro baseball team that brought
home a National Title to Frederick County. I picked up two wins during the
World Series, one in relief and started the semifinal game, which
we won 7-4. I currently
still play semi-pro baseball for both Brunswick and my hometown team Fayetteville
