After graduating from Frederick High School, I always knew I had a passion for the game of football. I played as a student and continued around the game by helping as a volunteer coach at Frederick High School for a few years. Eventually I was hired as an assistant coach and became the head coach of the 9th grade team. After a few more years I became an assistant coach for the varsity squad at Frederick High. Later, I put together a team of parents and started the youth feeder system for Frederick High School called the Frederick Youth Sports Association. The youth league is in it's 16th year. After years of coaching under my belt I was asked to be the Offensive Coordinator at Middletown High School. Twenty-two (22) wins and three (3) losses tells the story, and here I am now the first named head coach of Tuscarora High School. I also take great pleasure in teaching. I started as a middle school science teacher in Frederick and most recently taught at Frederick High in the Science Department. Last summer I attended the Governor's Academy for Science. I am presently continuing my education at Hood College majoring in Computer Science. I am married to Kathy, my wife of 11 years and have two step children, Jennifer Hamrick and Scott Murray, 3 grandchildren, Tyler 9, Christina 7, and Skye 4. |
