M.S.Ed.: Secondary Social Studies Education, SUNY College at Oneonta (1999)
B.A.: Politics and Art-Education, SUNY College at Potsdam (1994)

I chose teaching not only because I enjoyed the subject matter, Art and Social Studies, or just because I enjoyed working with kids. I got into education because I wanted to make a positive difference in kids' lives. It is one thing to comprehend the subject matter, it is another to understand how it fits into our lives and helps us to better understand the world. I attempt to use the information presented in class to challenge students to think critically about the subject and draw their own, reasonalbe conclusions.
